“Most people fail in life not because they aim too high and miss, but because they aim too low and hit.” - Les Brown Hi there, welcome to my first blog. As you read this, I want you to keep in mind that right now you're helping me become a better version of myself. How? Well, as I will touch on in this blog its important to continuously keep developing yourself as an individual. You need to always keep learning and always keep growing. Find new and exciting ways to challenge yourself & get outside your comfort zone, just as writing this blog is for me. How often do you neglect to do all the things you know you should do?
Personally, I need to have a goal to help me stay on track with my training. If the end goal is hazy & not quite "set in stone" I find its easy to skip a workout, not give 100% or reach for something to eat that normally I wouldn't when more goal orientated. So, identify a goal… easy huh? Not always..
Once you have your goal, you've created your plan. Your plan is your goal, broken down into steps (monthly, weekly, daily). These steps you follow every day until you reach your goal. This is where it gets hard. If we sat down together im confident that you would have at least a basic understanding of whats required to achieve weight loss goals, so why do you think over half of the adult population in considered overweight? "Actions express priorities" or one of my favourites "your lifestyle determines your style of life". Its not your lack of knowledge, its not your circumstances. Somewhere along your journey you left your standards that you set for yourself slip, But thats ok because at any time you have the power to raise them back where they should be, you must only make the choice. No matter what field you work in, what sport you play there is one common dominator found amongst those at the top, the standard which they set for themselves. What if today you decided to set a new standard? What would be the things you put first? Every Sunday I write down a list of my daily non negotiable's. This is the list I live by. On this list are all the things that I MUST DO every single day. I Know if I complete everything on this list I will arrive at my goal. You should try create a similar list to help you. Here is what my list looks like;
Perfection isn't achievable. Im not perfect. You're not perfect. No one is perfect. YOU CAN BE YOUR BEST & I believe we owe it all to ourselves to not only live life to the fullest but also be our best versions of ourself. So here is what you're going to do now;
I hope this reaches one person in need, thank you for helping me jump outside my comfort zone. - PD
